Greater Richmond Chorus Seeks New Rehearsal Home as Lease Ends July 1, 2026

Our chorus currently rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings at Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, though we are open to relocating to another central Richmond location. Our current lease ends July 1, 2026, and the lease will not be renewed.
We are a long-established, nonprofit women’s chorus with a consistent rehearsal schedule and a strong track record as respectful, reliable tenants. For nearly 50 years, we have partnered successfully with churches and community organizations that have underutilized evening space.
Key requirements:
- Annual rental budget of up to $8,000
- Open, unobstructed rehearsal area at least 60 feet wide with 12-foot ceilings to accommodate choral risers
Our ideal rehearsal studio includes:
- Min 2000 sq ft of rehearsal space for 50+ members to gather for weekly rehearsals
- Lighted parking area
- Secured entrance
- Breakout spaces for small group sessions
- Storage space (preferably secured) for risers and chorus property
- Accessible restroom close to rehearsal space
- Availability Thursday evenings 5:30–10:00pm, with the option to book additional blocks of time on other days/evenings for extra rehearsals or possible performances
- Functional, accessible HVAC system controls
- Single point of contact for questions, inclement weather closures, emergencies, etc.
Nice-to-haves:
- Access to chairs for large events
- Ability to leave risers set up week to week
- Private, dedicated space not shared with other tenants
Greater Richmond Chorus will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2027.
